Burger King Corporation, Miami, FL
Provided overall program assistance, including:
- Developed corporate training and survey tools customized to specialized facility type and corporate manpower capabilities; and
- Provided triage support to allow highly cost effective leveraging of skills and expertise.
Monmouth County, NJ
- Performed Americans with Disabilities Act Title II facilities surveys and developed compliance recommendations on a variety of government facilities including 15 county buildings (office buildings, courts and municipal facilities) and 10 park and recreation facilities (historic sites, regional parks, boardwalks/beaches, trails and camping facilities);
- Performed accessibility evaluations on existing facilities and performed comprehensive analysis of proposed solutions;
- Reviewed construction documents for accessibility issues;
- Provided training for county employees;
- Participated in budget negotiations and value engineering processes; and
- Worked with County officials to develop a comprehensive and ongoing ADA compliance strategy for existing facilities and programs and future new construction efforts.
Great Addresses, Washington, DC
UD&C has served as Great Addresses' single source consultant in the company's efforts to make its hotel properties (from Florida to Washington, DC) accessible by developing comprehensive strategies for ADA compliance. Work has included:
- Performing regular Facility Audit Surveys and developing creative and cost-effective solutions to the findings in these surveys; and
- Developing recommendations for staff training and education for good faith ADA compliance.

George Washington University, Washington, DC
The Charles E. Smith Center at George Washington University is an athletic and performance venue that includes retail, athletic and food service facilities. UD&C assisted in enhancing the accessibility features in this multi-purpose facility by:
- Conducting plans reviews;
- Performing ADA compliance evaluations; and
- Proposing accessibility recommendations on planned renovations of the facility.
City of Richmond Schools, Richmond, VA
Retained on behalf of the plaintiffs in an ADA Title II lawsuit against the City of Richmond School Board, UD&C's team was asked to ascertain whether barriers to accessibility could be found at 14 existing school facilities—elementary, middle and high schools, as well as adult and "exceptional" education centers. We also developed recommendations for improvement to facilities as well as programmatic enhancements.
Carlyle Suites Hotel, Washington, DC
This project at a historic hotel was completed in 2007 and involved over five years of coordination between local government agencies, architects, engineers and contractors. UD&C's role included:
- Designed and handled pre- and post-renovation inspections and solutions for all accessible guestrooms and public restrooms; and
- Assisted with the complex redesign of the entrance and lobby.
Quinn Evans Architects, Washington, DC
Developed historic facility access solutions for Washington DC's Eastern Market and Franklin Square in Pennsylvania
InterContinental New York Times Square Hotel, New York, NY
Provided thorough analysis of all aspects of design to insure 2004 ADAAG compliance
